How to get stereo mix

Most sound cards these days come with such features as stereo mix. Stereo mix is an option which allows the user to record sounds coming from the computer. For example, if you are listening to some music, then it will be recorded. Stereo mix is a way for the user to record whatever sounds he or she wants without having to use a microphone for it. So, how do you get stereo mix? To enable stereo mix, simply follow these instructions:

Instructions
  1. Double click on the volume icon at the bottom right hand corner
  2. Click Options
  3. Click Properties
  4. Click 'Recording'
  5. Check Stereo Mix and check all the others
  6. Now, mute all the other options besides Stereo Mix
  7. Adjust the volume of the Stereo Mix since it can be too loud
  8. Test it out
Issues
Sometimes, a user adjusts the volume of the stereo mix too high which in turn causes terrible quality to be played back. What you have to take into consideration is that Stereo Mix records the sound fully. What I mean by this is that like your speakers which have volume adjustment, they playback the sound fully. If you crank up the volume too high on your speakers, you are not going to get good quality played back, but if you set it to appropirate amount, then it should play back good quality.

How to make free phone calls using VoIP programs

Phone calls were once made using the Telephone, now however, VoIP programs are introducing enhanced features over regular telephones like better line quality and private Caller ID, but not all the VoIP programs have these features. Some say they do, but once the user makes a call, it's a whole different story.

There are numerous VoIP programs including Skype, but most of those cost the user money. There are some, however, which are free like MediaRing Talk. MediaRing Talk is possibly the best out there. It has excellent line quality which is what most users are looking for.

Installation Instructions for MediaRing Talk
  1. Go to the MediaRing Talk website
  2. Make an account
  3. Download MediaRing Talk
  4. Install MediaRing Talk
  5. Login and start phoning
And that is how to make free phone calls using VoIP programs. The only downside to MediaRing Talk is that you cannot make calls during the night otherwise you would get the error "Error unable to connect. please try again later. code=487"

  3. Click Create a Blog
